Update 2018-05-14: And they're live! The new egg molds are located here and as options on the G'lorp, Krubera, Splorch, Bed Bug, and Brogoth. We'll also be emailing everyone who has the round-egg molds to offer a substitution.

Update 2018-05-11: we finally have the new molds!  They're very similar to the 4-round-egg silicone molds we've had temporarily, but are plastic and more egg shaped like the old 6-egg ones. We have some gelatin setting up in a few of them now for final testing and pictures and are hoping to have them on the site later today or tomorrow. You can order one now by choosing the existing 4-egg mold options/product and mentioning in the notes that you'd prefer the new plastic egg-shaped one.  If you've already placed an order that hasn't shipped, we can easily change your order; just email us at [email protected] with your invoice ID.

Update 2018-04-27: we're now just waiting on shipping...

Update 2018-04-01: the molds are approved for production; we've been told they'll ship within the next week, but those estimates are obviously not to be trusted! We'll get another update on here once they're ready to ship.

Update 2018-02-06: we've added round, 4-cell egg molds until we can get egg-shaped ones in this style made.

We currently have only a very limited supply of the medium-sized 6-egg molds (pictured above). Worse yet, many of the ones we have aren't fully functional: a good portion of our remaining stock do not seal correctly and will not hold gelatin in 1-2 of the 6 cells. Many of the last batch of replacements we received were just as bad or worse, leaving us with only one good option -- to redesign them in the style of the smaller egg molds, but with an egg shape and fewer cells.

We recognize that not having an egg mold to make gelatin eggs will make the use of our Ovipositors a lot less fun. Because of this, we're restricting the sale of the medium-sized egg molds only to at most one per purchase of an Ovipositor. We're also offering the smaller egg molds or one of the partially-defective medium-sized ones at a discount with a purchase of the ovipositors.

We don't currently have an exact ETA for the redesigned molds, but are hoping to have them fairly soon. Realistically, it will probably be February-March of next year (2018) before they're available. We're also investigating offering similarly sized spherical egg molds as we have in the past -- we'll update this page as soon as we have more information or a more precise timeline.
